Established in 1968, Lil Car Hospital has been a cornerstone of the Lexington Community for over five decades. Founded by Lyle Colter as a fuel station and air-cooled Volkswagen repair shop. Dedicated to providing honest and reliable automotive services to the local residents. With a commitment to quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Lil Car Hospital quickly earned a reputation for excellence.

Lyle sold the business to long-time employee Bob Ireton and his wife, Lori, and it became Bob’s Lil Car Hospital in 2004. Over the years, the shop has evolved to keep pace with the ever-changing automotive industry. Despite the advancements in automotive technology, Bob’s Lil Car Hospital has remained true to its roots, maintaining a personalized approach to service that has endeared it to generations of customers. The shop’s team of highly skilled and certified technicians is equipped to handle everything from routine maintenance and minor repairs to complex diagnostics and major overhauls.

Bob’s Lil Car Hospital has been a cornerstone of the Kelso community since 1968, when it first opened as Lil Car Hospital—an air-cooled Volkswagen repair shop and fuel station founded on honesty and reliability. In 2004, longtime employee Bob Ireton and his wife, Lori, took ownership, expanding the shop’s capabilities and building a reputation for personalized, high-quality service throughout the Kelso and Longview areas. In 2020, Charlie and Kevena Zimmerman continued the tradition of employee ownership, carrying forward the same values that have defined the business for decades: integrity, pride in workmanship, and a commitment to delivering real value.
